This house is set within a mature residential neighbourhood on the edge of a lava field. It is composed of a sequence of private spaces beneath a large, fanned, grass plane. Although the shape of the site prompted the roof geometry the resultant form may be likened to a vernacular building metamorphosing to contemporary.
